The hex head screws hold the plate to the bracket. The PoP rivets go through the lower recessed mounting holes and through the holes you drilled. You will need a pop rivet gun to make those work, and they will be permanent. I plan on using some self tapping screws so I can remove the plate bracket if I wanted to.
